"I want to be a whole Korean"

This is what I heard from my child this morning. She infrormed me "I am half a Korean. Daddy is a whole Korean. I want to be a whole Korean too!" Hmmmm how to explain race and ethnicity to a just turned 3 year old? This is the question on my mind tonight. She knows where Korea is, and knows that daddy is adopted, she also says she looks like dad....I wonder if she is starting to notice that she does not look like anyone else around here....small town, and no one is mixed race, in fact it is 98% white here....I have a feeling this question is comming up soon.
