Sea Life Aquarium- post 1

Wow, it's been a while since I posted. Sorry about that. The last 2 weeks have been crazy but fun. A and I are halfway through our vacation in the "real world". We left 2 weeks ago and our first stop was the Dallas Texas area. A had some appointments there, but we also figured we should through in a visit to the Sea Life Aquarium while we were in town. So after 2 days of flying and finally a good nights sleep, Wed we headed to the aquarium to explore. It was a hit.
My little marine biologist loved every moment of it.

Her favorite animal by far though were the sting rays....specifically this one which she named Buddy. She insisted he was trying to communicate with her.  Needless to say we came home with a 6 dollar stuffed sting ray named....Buddy of course LOL.

This place was definitely designed for kids, with lots of nooks and crannies that I could never fit into but were perfect for A to explore.

The sharks were massive and very cool. We later learned more about them and why they don't hunt the fish in the tank with them, but that's another post.

A lot of hands on learning took place via the quiz trail and the 'fin facts' along the way. (Got to through some homeschool learning in there somewhere right? LOL)
I thought this display was amazing. Jellyfish!

 Whoa! Who knew?

Can you find the sea horses?
The only non salt water fish in the aquarium, catfish!
The touch pools were a big hit. So many interesting things to explore.

The aquarium was amazing, but the best part of our visit to Sea Life was about to come. Stay tuned for our next post.....
