Small Town Memorial Day

Happy Memorial Day. I hope you all had a wonderful Monday. We spent the day celebrating in small town fashion at the clinic's annual Memorial Day BBQ.

It was a great day of food, fun, and fellowship. We live in a wonderful community and it seemed like the whole town showed up to this event.

Dh as usual spent the day cooking for the crowd. 4 straight hours of grilling...this man is a champ! At least it wasn't raining like last year.

After A and I ate, we headed in to have fun with all the activities the clinic had set up. The whole thing is run by our wonderful clinic staff. A headed straight to the teddy bear adoption room and adopted  'Imy'. Her favorite "college friend" and pen-pal is home for the summer and was manning the table.

Then it was on to face painting....

Such a wonderful face I recieved when I asked to take a pic of her painted face.

Balloon animal fun was next. How about a monkey on a giant banana?

It was great to spend the day with dear friends...

...and take a fire truck ride of course. They even got to wear the headsets and talk to each other! How fun.

Then it was back inside to the ER to play some game and win some prizes.

A perfect Memorial Day, and another reason why I love small town life!
Have a great week everyone.
